In a bid to aggressively tap Kerala’s technology talent pool, Verbat Technologies is exponentially expanding operations in Kerala. Verbat is a digital technology firm formed by the coming together of senior IT industry professionals and niche Digital Technology focussed companies to create a scalable entity which will eventually have product spin offs.
The company, whose India operations will be from its centres in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, has named Jijo Olassa as its CEO, ahead of strengthening its presence in the global tech arena.
Jijo brings a track record of over 15 years’ fast paced business growth in IT Services across Europe, Middle East and Asia. Prior to Verbat, Jijo was with Mindtree from 2002 and was part of the core team that grew the European business through multi-million dollar contracts, besides kick-starting Mindtree’s Middle East business. Jijo is also an early advocate of IT product start-ups and is a mentor at Startup Village in Kochi.
